LEAGUE NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday 6th October :
The Football Association Ltd have declared Saturday FA Vase tie between Cullompton Rangers and Willand Rovers to be "Null & Void" This is due to an unacceptable error in application of the laws of the game by the match referee, the referee is likely to have charges bought against him. As the game was declared null & void it will now be re-staged as opposed to being re-played and will now be played back at Cullompton Rangers AFC on Tuesday 14th October, 7.45pm with any replay at Willand on Tuesday 21st October. The previously announced replay - Willand Rovers v Cullompton Rangers on Tuesday night (7th October) has therefore been cancelled.
Wednesday 8th October :
University of Exeter v Exeter City
All proceeds to Cardiomyopathy.
An attendance of just over 2,000 saw the annual Varisity game at St James Park with the Exeter City team beating the University side by a 3-1 margin. The bumper crowd of students will have helped boost the fund-raising efforts and provided a unique occasion for football at our level.
Wednesday 8th October :
We have been passed a statement by Bodmin Town AFC today that indicates that their manager, Alan Carey, has stepped down with immediate effect due to family commitments. His replacement is Darren Gilbert who was the assistant to Carey and now takes on the managerial position.
Saturday 11th October
Official League Statement issued at 19.00 hours by the Secretary on behalf of the board.
The league were informed at 12.45hrs today, via third parties that Newton Abbot AFC, would not be fulfilling todays fixture away at Wadebridge Town. Having established that this information was unfortunatly correct we have liaised with the host club to ensure that matters are dealt with in a professional manner.
The board have instructed the Secretary to issue the prescribed punishment in full and once these charges have been issued to the club a further statement will be made regarding the match in question. The next statement is likely to be issued on Wednesday morning. (15th October) |
